Balagan means chaos in Hebrew. Chaos is an integral part of life for most artists. But how can one succeed without an organized portfolio, clear connections, and a solid understanding of one's finances? I founded the BALAGAN Art Space to help emerging artists showcase their work coherently and network efficiently in Miami's only commission-free gallery and creative commune in the art district of Wynwood. www.balagan.cc
THE CAMPAIGN
MIAMI 2017
To launch the Balagan Art Space & Creative Commune I created a campaign and website
that addressed the core frustrations of many emerging artists and the distortions of the art market. To set the tone to the liberal and rebellious environment I was creating, I chose a provocative language and mixed it with a simplistic millennial pink square as a reference
to Instagram and the popularity of pink flamingo imagery in Miami.

THE SPACE
The space was a loft of 1146 square feet total.
It had a large ground floor, one balcony, and a mezzanine with one bathroom. Concrete floors, full window front, and walls a mix between concrete and large areas of dry wall. It was handicapped accessible with french doors and a capacity of 250 people.

THE EVENTS
2017-2019
In the course of two years I curated art, music, photography, performance, and design shows for artists based in US, Latin American, Europe, and Africa. I organized and hosted latinx, feminist, and experiential community events, photoshoots, and speaker series and a short movie.
